MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Timberwolves today announced that forward Corey Brewer will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee. A magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) study done this morning revealed the extent of the injury, which occurred during Minnesota's game vs. Denver on Saturday night. The date for surgery has yet to be determined.
"This is a tough situation for Corey and we feel for him," said Timberwolves VP of Basketball Operations Kevin McHale. "Corey has worked extremely hard on his game. He was starting to really feel comfortable on the floor and was playing well. We'll miss his energy, defensive mindedness and toughness moving forward."

A shout out to Corey from Peter Gits. I'm 51 and had ACL reconstruction 11 months ago. I'm also a big fan of you game. My wife, Lezlie, and I are season ticket holders. We wish you all the best and know you will come back even better than before. I did! I'm running and jumping better than ever. Best wishes and know we will be thinking about you. -Peter

Sorry for the injury Corey, I bought tickets to see you play in Orlando on Wed, Dec 3rd. I have also went down to Orlando to see AL play for Atlanta, I have his autograph and was hoping to get yours too. I am a Gator fan at Heart, I hope you have the speediest recovery and good luck on the rehab, I am so bummed out about you not being able to play.

Hi Corey, I was so sad to hear of your injury and being unable to play out the season - I hope all goes well with your surgery and you have a speedy recovery. I went to the "Gator Jam" this past weekend - the men's basketball team played in the Amway Arena, Orlando, against the University of Missouri/Kansas City - it was so neat to see UF basketball, Coach Donovan, the new and returning players, and of course Albert - the team looks great. Oh, and the Gators won... of course! Take care.
