Timberwolves announce opening night Roster |

The Minnesota Timberwolves annouced the teams opening night roster today. The Timberwolves will open their 20th season against the Sacremento Kings Wednesday night at the Target Center.
Last week the Timberwolves requested waivers on guard Blake Ahearn, forward
Chris Richard and center David Harrison to make room for the 15 man roster.
Key returning players include Al Jefferson, Randy Foye, Ryan Gomes, Rashad McCants, Mark Madsen, Craig Smith, Sebastian Telfair and second year player Corey Brewer.
The 2008-09 roster
features just one rookie, Kevin Love, who was selected with the fifth
overall pick by the Memphis Grizzlies and acquired by the Timberwolves
on draft night along with Mike Miller. Including Love and Miller, the
2008-09 Wolves roster features seven new faces. Veterans Brian Cardinal
and Jason Collins also came over in the deal with Memphis, while Calvin
Booth and Rodney Carney were acquired from Philadelphia. Free agent
Kevin Ollie, who also played for the Sixers last season, completes the
15-player roster.
