Tony Parker scored a game-high 55 points to lead the San Antonio Spurs past the Minnesota Timberwolves 129-125 Wednesday night at the Target Center.

Five players scored in double-figures for the Timberwolves, the team was led in scoring by Al Jefferson with 30 points and 14 rebounds. Mike Miller scored 25 points while shooting five of seven from behind the arc.

The win for the Spurs was their first of the season and their sixth straight win over the Timberwolves.

Parker was 22-of-36 from the field and added 10 assists and seven boards to go along with his career-high.

Randy Foye got the game within one point with a three point shot, but Parker put the game away with some free throws to make it 128-125.

The Spurs have struggled without superstar Manu Ginobili whois absent due to a strain ankle.

"They are a very good team without Ginobili," Corey Brewer said.

Brewer finished the game with 15 points, four assists, and two steals in 38 minutes of action.

Rookie Kevin Love added 14 points, while Randy Foye chipped in 11 points.

Spurs big man Tim Duncan was a beast in the paint scoring 30 points and grabbing 16 rebounds.

The Timberwolves fall to 1-4 on the season and will travel to Sacramento Friday night for a late tip-off on the west coast.
